25th February - Tone Valley Jazz Band

The Tone Valley Jazz Band, which is based mainly in Somerset, was formed over 40 years ago. Despite changes in personnel over the ensuing period, the Tone Valley jazzmen continue to provide a musical recipe that is enjoyed and appreciated wherever they play. With their lively Chicago/Dixieland style jazz, there were plenty of classic standards to tap your feet to and lively songs to listen to. Accomplished trumpeter Denny Blackmore led the band, which included bass guitarist Dave Stratford, Keith Hall on guitar/banjo (with great vocals) and Pembrokeshire-based Tudor Thomas on trombone.
